LunaTranslator

LunaTranslator is a free, open-source translator for visual novels (galgames). It extracts text with HOOK (including emulators for NS / PSP / PSV / PS2 games) or OCR, can embed translations directly into some games, and supports many translation engines including large language models, plus TTS and Japanese learning tools. Prerequisites

• An API key: open the console, go to API Keys and create a dedicated key (for example, named LunaTranslator).
• LunaTranslator installed — see Download & Launch & Update.

Configuration

Option A: one-click setup

1. On the API Keys page, open the actions menu of the key and choose Chat → LunaTranslator (available when your administrator has enabled it). LunaTranslator opens and creates a large-model interface with the address and key filled in.
2. In LunaTranslator, go to Settings → Translation Settings → Large Models and click Edit on the new interface.
3. Click the refresh button next to the model drop-down to load the model list, select a model and click OK.
4. Make sure the switch next to the interface is turned on.

Option B: manual setup

1. In LunaTranslator, open Settings → Translation Settings → Large Models.

2. Copy the General LLM interface template to create a new interface, and fill in:

   Field	Value
   API address	https://rutoken.ai
   API Key	sk-xxxx
   model	a model ID from the Model Square, e.g. gpt-4o-mini

3. Use the refresh button next to the model drop-down to load the list, select a model and click OK.

4. Turn on the switch next to the new interface.

Verify

Start a game (or paste some text into LunaTranslator) and check that the new interface returns a translation. The requests appear in the console under Usage Logs.
